On Fourth of July, 1776, The Declaration of Independence was signed.
Of the 56 signers: 17 lost their fortunes, 12 had their homes destroyed, 5 became prisoners of war, 1 had two sons imprisoned on the British starving ship Jersey, 1 had a son killed in battle, 1 had his wife die from harsh prision treatment, and 9 signers died during the war.

To celebrate the 4th, my family grilled (yum yum), we watched the first third of the first National Treasure, (really, really REALLY GOOD.) and we watched fireworks. They had particuarly good fireworks this year, I don't know why. They were really pretty though. sorry, I didn't have a camera, so I couldn't take pictures. D= it was fun though. =D
